My first 24H hackathon ever, it was wild but I would do it 10x over. . . . I took part in the Cursor Hackathon 2025 in Singapore last weekend. In my 5th hackathon this year, I vibe-built a simple (maybe boring) but extremely useful tool — FormMind — a form-filler that any person at a large organisation can use. 1. All you do is upload a few of your old forms (Word or Excel). 2. The tool reads them, pulls out the Q&A pairs, and with your approval, helps fill in totally different future forms. If you’ve ever spent hours doing repetitive Word or Excel work, you know how painful that is — this saves so much time. The stack I used was: IDE: Cursor Frontend: Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind Backend + DB: Next.js, Supabase AI: OpenAI GPT-4o-mini + GPT text-embedding File Processing: Word, Excel Honestly at the start, I was not really a fan of vibe-coding (although I have seen friends of mine use it very effectively). I've stuck more to n8n as it gave me more clarity on the architecture in the background. But in line with the theme of the hackathon, I thought why not give Cursor a proper go. Of course, guided by the super helpful session by🃏 Sherry Jiang on how to use Cursor,  I was very impressed to say the least. Check out the video in the comments. I'll be continuously working on FormMind (because it has a mind of its own 🤣 ) to improve it, so watch this space. AND before anyone points it out, yes, long term to make this work it will have to run on a local model to safeguard the data.
